Art Maker Circle

I am currently participating in a four week art e-course via @ghostkittenart on Instagram.  You can follow along by searching #ArtMakerCircle or following me @Peruvian.Pink.Arts

We're just in week 1, but I came out of my shell and actually pursued drawing something that I love and am interested in, but before felt that I couldn't accomplish.  I'm pretty pleased.

Also, if you are interested then it's not too late to start.  The first project isn't due until Monday 22. January.

Behind the cut contains all entries.  I actually only made it to week three of the four week course.

Week 1: Let Your Light Shine;;

There were a myriad of prompts and different directions we could take this, but ultimately it was to adventure into something you've held back from doing; but which is something that your heart drives you to do artistically.

Mine was my fascination with the creatures of the briny deep and how I felt I couldn't do them any sort of justice if I drew them, so I hadn't.  I had slightly tackled a few of these creatures before, but the attempt was half-hearted to fill a space (see previous post 'Incarnations of the Artist' for my attempts in the piece about childhood dreams).

I had also come out swimmingly on an Octopus that I did give my full attention to a few years back.  So, I felt it was time since this is the pull I was feeling at the moment.

Week 2: Earth
A project I'd been meaning to do, but wouldn't.  I chose paper dolls because that is what sprang to mind first.

Week 3: Sky - Fly Beyond Your Horizon
I chose to paint something, because it's not what I do and I chose to use only fingernail polishes.
